The feedback is due by the Monday after the session is offered.

This material should be provided as a short response to the following three questions:

1. In one sentence for each, please note two or three main ideas from this session.

    A. Introduction to the field of digital scholarship, the main ideas as explored through the manifesto and Stephen's examples exploring the construction of knowledge.

    B.  Archives - what are they, what they contain, standardised reference system used.

    C. How to start digitising a collection.

2. What concept(s) need more reinforcement?

    A. The ideas in the manifesto, as individual ideas they are understandable but to form the principles behind digital humanities how did they come together?

    B. How is digital scholarship being acknowledged in archival practice, are archives working towards a revised partnership between photographic material and learning and interpretation?

    C. Some aspects of digital scholarship manifesto were confusing.

3. What two or three aspects of this session did the group like/dislike and why?

    A. The archive visit was a useful insight into the practicalities of cataloguing and issues regarding photographic material specifically.

    B. The project material analysis as a group worked in bringing different ideas, analysis and approaches to the material in preparation for the forthcoming project.  

    C. Liked assignment brief and being given an unfamiliar source to work with
