These are very basic instructions on how to edit and create pages.
Edit a page
To create words on the page click on the 'edit' tab at the top of the page; this will bring up the editing box. You can edit what is already on the page or add new stuff and the buttons at the top of the editing area give you access to basic formatting tools to help if you don't know the wiki language. Hold your mouse cursor over each editing button for a few seconds and a pop up box will tell you what each does. If you want to test any ideas, please do it on your own pages so that it doesn't spoil what is going on elsewhere. Don't forget to save any edits by clicking on the Save page button at the bottom of the edit box. It is good wiki manners to put your name and the date by the side of any edits or comments you have made, and you can set up a signature for this purpose by clicking on preferences at the top right of the page.
Create a new page
If you want to create a new page, first open the editing box on a current page. Create a link using the internal link button. This gives you two sets of brackets with the words 'Link Title' between them. Type over the text (NOT the brackets) with the name for your new page (it can be anything, but try not to have spaces in the title) and click the Save page button at the bottom of the edit box. When the edited wiki web page appears you will be able to see the name of the new page as a link. Click on the link and you will be taken directly to the editing box of the new page, put in some text and don't forget to save it and you now have a new page. To get back to your original page, just click the back button on your browser or click on Main Page on the navigation bar on the left of the page.
If you want to upload a picture, use the Upload file link on the toolbox bar at the left-hand side of the page. You should now see the upload file page. Please read the text regarding the copyright of images. Next click on the "Browse..." button, browse to the file you want and click on it. Choosing a file will fill the name of that file into the text field next to the button. Write down the file name as you will need it later when you want to put it in a page. You must check the box confirming that you are not violating any copyrights by uploading the file. Press the "Upload" button to finish the upload.
The wiki can handle most common file types. But note that you can't upload files larger than 2Mb. Please name your files descriptively to avoid confusion and remember the name or write it down. To include the image in a page, click on the edit tab at the top of the page and use the embedded image button to put in a link on the page. Just change the file.jpg, file.png or file.ogg part of the link to the name of your image, save the page and you should be able to see the image.
Please note that as with wiki pages, others may edit or delete your uploads if they think it serves the project, and you may be blocked from uploading if you abuse the system.
